Day 15-
Happy Monday Everyone-
Another Easter Sunday is behind us. I hope everyone was able to make the best of it during these crazy circumstances.
Let's lunge forward into spring. There is so much hope and reason to look ahead. Don't be discouraged, we can all forge forward. This to shall pass and we will all be better individuals for it. Use this time to plan for your spring projects, the gardens and some jobs around the house. My list is so long already and I am certain my husband isn't thrilled. But we will be better for it all in the end. We will have accomplished something and nothing makes you feel better.
I have some grand ideas for my garden that will probably not all happen this year as the to do list keeps growing. In addition to painting the garage, sealing the driveway, a new garage roof, new deck and garden fence all need to happen this year. We will make the vegetable gardens just a little bit bigger and I will be adding a few more herbs to it as well. I have decided to start making smudge sticks with herbs and flowers, not because I want to "smudge" the evil energy from my home but because I like the way they look gathered in a pretty bowl or on a platter as decoration. They are super easy to make and a great project.
.
Our backyard deck is really small, 8x8 feet which is fine and big enough for 2 chairs. I would love to enclose it into a screen porch for the pups but that project will have to wait for another year. This year we will replace the deck boards, skirting and railings as they have a lot of wear and tear.
Getting some of these house projects completed has really been fun for Art and I. It has given us sometime to reconnect and work together to accomplish the things we have been letting go for so long. This is a great time to be with your families and do just that. In spite of the pandemic we have been given a gift, the gift of time. Enjoy it while you can.
Until tomorrow-Be Safe!
