Day 32-

Aman's Farm & Market, an Irondequoit Icon-

Farm to table is the best and freshest way for us to be eating. Not only is it healthy it supports local farmers and brings locally grown foods to tables within our community.

                                                       Aman's Farm & Market - 2458 E Ridge Rd

One of my favorite markets right here in Irondequoit is Aman's Farm & Market, 2458 East Ridge Road. I like it for many reasons, the history, the atmosphere and the quality of goods they sell. In the spring & summer they have an excellent selection of plants. From hanging baskets to vegetable plants to flowers and shrubs, a little of everything, all at great prices. After our time at home with this pandemic it won't be long until we can look forward to some brightly colored flowers to liven up our landscape. Aman's has some of the most beautiful, large baskets at great prices.

Inside they have a market as well. They sell produce, cheese, beer and other beverages. They have a great selection of flags and flag poles, bird baths, garden ornaments and house plants too.

From as early as 1840 Aman's operated as a roadside market until the business became what it is today. It is one of Rochester's oldest farm markets. Pretty impressive I would say.

Since moving to Irondequoit 5 years ago we have loved shopping at Aman's. The staff is very helpful and knowledgeable. No question goes unanswered.

Rich in Irondequoit's history Aman's is an icon sitting at the near farthest point on East Ridge Rd near the expressway. A cozy sweet spot accessible to all who shop there. They have ample parking right out front which makes for easy carry out when you have purchased an abundance of items.

I love Aman's and I encourage you try give it a try for yourselves. I look forward to shopping with them, especially in the summer to see what new surprises they may have. I am so glad we have this gem right here in Irondequoit, Aman's all the way!

Until Tomorrow- Be Safe

I grow plants for many reasons: to please my eye or to please my soul, to challenge the elements or to challenge my patience, for novelty or for nostalgia, but mostly for the joy in seeing them grow. – David Hobson
