Day 14-
Easter Sunday 2020
I know that many of you will be spending this Easter holiday away from family and friends and it will be very hard. All of us are accustomed to spending holidays with our loved ones, seeing the smiling faces of children as they receive their Easter baskets filled with big chocolate bunnies, colored eggs and jelly beans but this year will be a little bit different for most, myself included. I haven't seen our oldest son for over a month now and it's hard. I look forward to his sideways smiles and the way he raises his brow when you question him too much, especially about work. I miss that face that has made me so proud to be his Mom and I will miss it even more today. I will be sad knowing that he will be in his Apartment eating the Easter dinner that I sent over in a care box, all alone, social distancing and it really sucks! NOTHING makes me sadder as a Mother except for one thing... If I no longer had the opportunity to talk to him. So when the sadness hits as it often has this last month I think of those who no longer have their children with them, those that have passed to soon. I can deal with a little distance away from him for awhile to keep him healthy.
So for those of you who can not be with family this holiday, remember those that never will again and feel happy and blessed.
