Day 12-
Hi All- Happy Friday!
I have decided to spend some of my time and begin reading some of the classics. Classic novels, classic children's books. The books I never read when I was younger because life happened. Growing up I was busy with dance lessons and playing outside with my friends. My parents never really read to me much. My grandfather used to read to me from the bible and I would annoy him with all of my questions, I'm sure of it. I have decided for now to read The Wind in the Willows which intrigues me because of the awesome pictures and great art work. There is nothing like losing yourself in a great book, it will be my spring/summer read.
I spent many hours reading to our kids when they where little. Our oldest son's favorite was Mike Mulligan and his steam shovel, our youngest loved The Polar Express. Such memories curled up with them on the couch reading on a cold winter day. We would just lose ourselves in the adventures within the pages. The joy in their eyes was incredible to see as a young mother. The happiness it brought to all of us. Today they are both avid readers and I am so grateful for that. I know that I instilled in them the importance of words, the smell of a book, and the joy it can really bring to your world especially during these uncertain times in our lives. Think of how lost you can become in the world of Alice in Wonderland, in adventures with Black Beauty or the mystery of Sherlock Holmes. All wonders on numbered pages.
I will leave you today with blessings for a wonderful Easter Sunday! During this time maybe take a few minutes to gather together and read a short story with your families, enjoy the quiet time to reflect on the past and look forward to the bright future that is yet to come.
Until Tomorrow-
"Let everything you do be done in love"💛🐇🐇🐇🐇
